> artix linux as a daily driver

so, i was gonna continue dual-booting windows and linux like i was before, but install artix over arch. turns out while doing that i accidentally wiped the windows bootloader (idek why it was on that drive??). at the time i really just did not feel like getting a windows iso, but now i don't really need to.

turns out for my purposes linux works perfectly as a daily driver, and even better in some cases. a linux development evnvironment is always going to be far superior to a windows one (try compiling a c program in windows. you'll have the time of your life). and i don't really have to worry all that much about program comaptibility. fl studio works fine under linux, give or take some slowdowns here or there the experience isn't impacted all that much.

so yeah, goodbye windows!

> gaconvert progress

after i wrote the last blog post, i got a shock of motivation to work on the project.

path processing is done, processing frames (sprite frames, frame frames) is in progress but it is getting close to done.

current problem is with filters. of course, it has to be the only thing with no clean translation to svg. ColorMatrix is just fine, just divide the offset by 255 and all values can be dropped in. Blur has properties for the x displacement and y displacement that svg does not. svg only includes standard deviation, gonna have to figure out what to do about that. Glow is just absolutely fucked, can you believe svg has no filter for glow? so i'm gonna have to figure that out. hooray for swf to svg conversion.

> buffer overflow: thearch and malware remake

i've been wanting to do this for a while. since i was sent the full version of shiftytm's thearchy, i was inspired to do a lot better with what i had for buffer overflow.

that culminated into this.

i'm pretty damn proud of this.

> new discord server

one last thing to say, i made a discord server! it'll have announcements for my projects and generally just a bunch of people fucking around and having fun.

i'd love to have you!

see y'all next week
